Passion for Watercolors

From years of portraiture to the mysterious challenges now of abstraction, I've enjoyed the flow and luminosity of watercolor paints.  My approach to watercolor creates unique compositions and effects through layered paint applications for both depth and richness of color while also allowing the sheer luminosity and flow of watercolors to radiate.  There is a great challenge and joy for me in watercolors.  They require a controlled brush yet  also demand to be allowed to flow and think and move on their own.  My imagination and heart live in my abstract watercolor paintings.  I never know where they're going (which can be scary),  but I've learned to trust the process and believe that with patience and perseverance, they'll end up in a place of beauty.
